Use of the field is entirely at your own risk. You should ensure that it is suitable for your dogs at all times
Entry to Frank’s Freedom Field is strictly by appointment only
The gate is secured by a combination padlock, the code is changed regularly and will be sent to you prior to your appointment. This should not be shared with anyone else
Your booking is for the time stated in your confirmation email. If you arrive late for your booking you still have to leave at the finish time stated on your booking confirmation. You must vacate the field BEFORE your booking slot has ended.
Please do not block Trent Lane when entering or leaving the field. Pull up off of the lane into the lay-by to open the gate/close the gate. You should never park on the slope while locking/unlocking the gate
If your dog does not have a reliable recall and you believe they may not return to your vehicle at the end of your session, please use the long line provided. Attach it to the dogs harness or collar and allow it to drag behind the dog, this will help with getting your dog back to you when you need to vacate the field.
You should always be aware of what you dog is doing while in the field please refrain from sitting in your vehicle while your dog has free run of the field. We ask that dogs do not dig or chew the newly planted trees and flowers. The field has been left as natural as possible to encourage insects, birds and bees. There may be some plants that are dangerous to dogs if ingested in high quantities. We are constantly checking the field and wild areas for any dangerous plants but you should ensure your dog does not chew any plants, roots or flowers.
Occasionally there are mole hills and burrowing animal holes in the field so be careful when walking around as they can be trip hazards, although we do remove as many of these natural hazards as we can. Ensure you wear appropriate footwear. During the winter there will be some areas of mud and in the summer there will be times when there is a lot of freshly cut grass around which may stain shoes and clothing so please dress appropriately.
It is a condition of field hire that you pick up all of your dog's poo, bag it (bags are provided) and place It in the dog poo bin. The bin is only for bagged dog waste do not put any other rubbish in the bin.
Please discourage dogs from digging especially on the fence line. We have found that putting a bit of dog poop in any holes that dogs are interested in and covering it lightly with soil deters the dogs from digging there. It’s a great way of dealing with two issues at once!
We check the field every day but please ensure that the fencing is intact and safe before allowing your dogs loose
Do not under any circumstances climb on the fences or gates or open any gates other than the main gate to exit the field.
If you arrive early for your booked session and there is someone still in the field please park in the lay-by next to the field and wait in your car until the field is clear. Please do not approach the gate unless the previous customer has gone over your booked start time.
Dogs should never be left unattended in the field
The consumption of alcohol is strictly prohibited while in the field
