The field is approx 3 acres
There is a hard standing area in the field that can accommodate 2 - 3 vehicles. You can drive in close the gate and let the dogs out of your vehicle directly into the secure field.
he field is surrounded on all sides by 6’ tornado deer fencing.
No. The field has areas of long grass and wildflowers in the warmer months, as well as some large logs that are great for climbing over and under, and a tall flood bank along one side (which dogs love running up and down!) but there is no dog agility equipment or man-made structures as the field is specifically designed for dogs that need a quiet secure place to exercise.
No - the field is geared up for single families who either have a large number of dogs or even single dogs that are unable to be exercised in public spaces - either due to reactivity issues or lack of reliable recall. We do allow occasional group meet ups but these are by prior arrangement only and are subject to an extra cost. The parking is not suitable for more than 3 vehicles.
We ask you to clean up after your own dogs, just as you would if you went for a walk in a public space. We appreciate that dogs can sometimes toilet without you seeing so it isn’t always possible to get them all so we operate an “if you find one pick it up” policy. There are poo bins within the field so you don't need to take your dog waste home with you
No - the field was designed for our pack of huskies and we check the perimeter twice daily for any obvious gaps / issues, however, we cannot guarantee that a determined dog will not get out. There may be small gaps under the gates or rabbit / small burrowing animal holes on the fence line that can appear quickly and can provide an escape route for a small dog. We recommend that you always check the field for it’s suitability for your own dogs and always be vigilant if they are diggers or escape artists! Also please let us know immediately if you spot an issue with the fences.
You will receive a text message and email 2 hours before your booked time with the details of the code for that day. If you have not received the text or email in that time frame please phone me on 07815 502201
Yes - children are more than welcome but please remember that this is a dog exercise field and not a playground so there are molehills, divots and small holes plus occasionally dog poo.. so children running around the field is at the parents / guardians risk.
